Founded in 2000, TiE Pittsburgh is a not-for-profit network of entrepreneurs, corporate executives and senior professionals dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship in the Pittsburgh region.

TiE Pittsburgh is led by its Charter Members who are successful entrepreneurs and professionals in the region.

Our Charter Members have created over 10,000 jobs in the Pittsburgh region and have brought in over $600M in venture capital investment.
TiE Pittsburgh is dedicated to helping regional entrepreneurs and startups be successful through events and programs that provide mentoring, education, networking and funding opportunities.

History of TiE

TiE Global was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and senior professionals.  There are currently more than 15,000 members and over 2,000 charter members in 64 chapters in 12 countries.

Over the last 25+ years of existence TiE chapters around the world have become vibrant platforms for entrepreneurs, professionals, industry leaders and investors to interact with one another while forging long lasting relationships.

Because of this strong legacy, TiE is able to connect the entire entrepreneurship ecosystem from the early stage entrepreneurs, serial entrepreneurs, professionals at leading corporations, venture capital, angel investors, and thought leaders among others.
